Q & A

What's the closest airport?

John F Kennedy (JFK) and LaGuardia (LGA) are New York’s most convenient international airports, and are about an hour's drive from our venue on Long Island. If you're flying within the US from select locations, Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) is even closer, around half an hour from the venue. We're fans of skyscanner.com for finding the best flight options, and there’s more info on the Travel page of our website.

How do we get to the venue?

If you're driving to Sunken Meadow State Park, there will be plenty of free private parking at our venue. Follow the signs for 'The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow Catering Hall Parking Only'. If you would like to be included in shuttles from our hotel block (more info on the Travel page), please indicate so on your RSVP form.

When should we RSVP by?

The sooner the better, but for our international guests please RSVP here on our website by 27 March 2026.

Can we bring children or plus ones?

Because of limited venue space, we unfortunately can't accommodate plus-ones or children beyond those named on the wedding invitation, who are infants or are travelling overseas. We hope you understand!

What's the dress code?

Please dress in cocktail or formal attire, and keep in mind that our ceremony will be on the beach (weather permitting) when choosing footwear.

What will the weather be like?

In late September, Long Island typically has comfortable temperatures with an average high around 70-75°F (21-24°C) and a low around 55-60°F (13-16°C). The weather is usually pleasant, with plenty of sunshine.

What's the itinerary?

Shuttle busses will collect guests at our hotel block at 2:30pm. Guests are encouraged to arrive promptly at our venue at 3pm for pre-ceremony drinks. The ceremony will then begin at 3:30pm, and cocktails and canapés will be served from 4pm. The sit-down dinner will be served from 5pm, then we’ll have dancing and cake, and after-hours food and drink will be served at 9pm until the venue closes at 11pm.

Do I need to have U.S. dollars on me?

We'll have an open bar all night long, no cash needed!

Where are you registered?

We appreciate that most of our guests will be traveling for our wedding, and your presence is truly the best present we could ask for. However, if we are to be honoured with a present from you, a monetary gift towards our honeymoon would be very much appreciated. We have set up a cash-fund on the Registry tab of this website, or alternatively a wedding card box will be at our reception.
